Coventry City will be making a triumphant return to the Ricoh Arena for the 2021-22 season looking to consolidate their impressive return to the Championship.
The Sky Blues secured their status with three games to go on their first return to the second tier, managing to finish a creditable 16th in the division on 55 points.
Returning to their home city with the security of a new ten year stadium deal, the club have started work on a new club shop and ticket office at the Wasps RFC owned ground, both of which are scheduled to be open to the public later this summer.
Mark Robins’s men will also have a brand new kit for next season when they hope to make the soon to be renamed Coventry Building Society Arena a fortress.
City are continuing their relationship with kit suppliers Hummel whose first few designs proved popular with the fans.
When’s the new kit due to be unveiled?
This season’s home strip was officially unveiled on August 26, 2020, with the away kit following the next day.
That was later than usual and due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But things are getting back to normal this season and the club are planning on launching the new home kit in early July.
Will there be a new away strip?
Yes, the club will be launching a changed strip for away games to replace the red and black kit.
Will there be a third kit?
The club have produced a third kit for the last two years, the first being the hugely popular 2Tone strip in the 2018/19 League One title winning campaign.
Then last season the club revealed on November 27, 2020, an eye-catching white and sky blue strip celebrating Coventry being UK City of Culture for 2021.
And it’s understood that the club are again planning to launch a third kit for fans.
Membership shirt launch:
City, meanwhile, have revealed the design of the Membership shirt for the 2021/22 season.
Each Ricoh Return Member will receive the exclusive Hummel shirt, which will be worn by Coventry City for a game during the 2021/22 season.
This exclusive item will be a one-off, and not available to purchase in the club shop or online.
The white kit includes the distinctive architecture and roof design of the Ricoh Arena, soon to be known as the Coventry Building Society Arena, in a Sky Blue and Dark Blue colour. The collar and hummel chevrons are also in Sky Blue.

A second order will be made, which will include Phase 2 Members and those Phase 1 fans who have not ordered in time, and the Club will communicate regarding this shortly.
In the meantime, fans can still purchase the 2020-21 kits, with some good discounts available.
