A new poll has revealed as many as 1 in 5 Brits will NOT return to public sport events after the pandemic.
Site bettingexpert.com has undertaken some research and it shows 26% of people in Britain will return to sporting events at full capacity.
But 22% of people vow to never return to a sporting events again.
29% of people will only go back to events that are outdoors.
Of those happy to return, half of people would happily hug fellow fans when there’s a goal, while 36% of people say they won’t go to pubs after events.
23% say they would be happy to go back if the event is at half capacity or less.
Just 21% of females will return to full capacity events while 33% of men say they would. 32% of females say they will return to events with outside facilities only
A bettingexpert spokesperson said: “Brits may take their time before rushing to a packed indoor stadium with only 26% of people ready to return to sporting events at full capacity, while 29% of people will return to events that are outdoors.
“However, old habits will quickly return when people are back as almost half of supporters will hug fellow fans and 74% of people will be happy to pile into pubs to celebrate after matches.
“Unsurprisingly, younger people are more happy to return to full capacity events, with 44% of 18-34 year-olds ready to return to matches like they used to be, while only 12% of those 55+ would be willing to go to events at full capacity.”
