Coronation Street actor Bill Roache could return to the soap next month following his battle with Covid.
Bill, who plays long-running character Ken Barlow, is reportedly close to making his comeback on the ITV show.
The 88-year-old had to take a break after contracting coronavirus earlier this year.
But a source told The Sun he is “itching to get back”.
They added: “Bosses told Bill to take as long as he needed, but he is already feeling loads better.
“He’s recovered remarkably well, is itching to get back and is hoping to return to the set by the start of May.”
Bill has been a regular on the cobbles since Corrie’s first episode in 1960.
And he has pledged he will not retire while he “can do it and they want me”.
