Fans of Disney films will be able to enjoy an outdoor screening later this month, as The Big Disney drive-in cinema event comes to Leicestershire.
The event will take place from Thursday, April 22, to Monday, April 26, at Coalville Market car park, and will feature nine films from the Disney franchise.
It is being organised by Fleckney Group, and is in aid of local charity the Bodie Hodges Foundation, with 10 per cent of all ticket sales being donated to the charity.
The event will use a special LED screen which means that films can be shown during the day even in sunny weather.
Guests will have their own wireless speaker system which sits on your dashboard and will be sanitised between uses.
The speaker will not only deliver high quality audio directly to you, but it also means you don’t have to use your car’s radio for the screening – meaning no risk of a flat car battery.
Food and drink such as burgers, pizza, popcorn and sweets, will be available to purchase and will be done via an order and collect system.
There will also be an on-site bar. Guests are welcome to take their own food and drink.
Here are the films you’ll be able to watch:
Frozen (PG) – Thursday, April 22, 6.30pm
Avengers: Infinity War (12) – Friday, April 23, 7.30pm
Incredibles 2 (PG) – Saturday, April 24, 11.30am
Pete’s Dragon (PG) – Saturday, April 24, 3.30pm
Avengers: Endgame (12) – Saturday, April 24, 7.30pm
Christopher Robin (PG) – Sunday, April 25, 11.30am

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (12a) Sunday, April 25, 8pm
Zootropolis (PG) – Monday, April 26, 6.30pm.
According to Fleckney Group, the event will be fully compliant with government restrictions on social distancing.
In fact, there’s no need to get out of your car at all during the screening if you don’t want to.
There will be large walkways throughout the site, so should you need to visit the toilet facilities or collect your food, you will be able to do so without coming into close contact with anyone else.
The toilets will be individual units which will be spaced a minimum of two metres apart. They will be cleaned and sanitised regularly and there will be ample hand sanitising facilities available.
The price is £25 per car, £35 VIP. Tickets are subject to a £2 booking fee.
A VIP ticket guarantees you a spot closer to the screen in the reserved area for the best view of the screen. You will also be able to order food to your car via a waiter service.
