Heavy rumours suggest that more PS5 stock is set to drop at major retailers.

And people have been hungry to try and get a console since November and are trying to find the easiest ways possible.

Some people have been using “hidden links” and some have been using bots to try and cop a console – perhaps to resell it for a profit.

Gamers have been trying to find the best ways to get a PS5 and it seems one stock tracker has shared some of the best ways to get a PS5 this week.

Hensteethbot on Twitter wrote: “Seen the following tips online to help you have the best chance:

“Amazon add to basket thru wishlist, Game checkout as guest, Argos add to basket thru app wishlist, checkout on PC.”

With these tips, it might make grabbing a PS5 much easier if you manage to get on the websites before they sell out or a massive queue is created.

Meanwhile, the Government has finally responded to a petition urging MPs to do more about scalping.

A petition was set up by Richard Glover after the release of the next-gen consoles after it become notoriously hard to grab a PS5 and Xbox Series X.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy said it’s discussing the issue of “bulk purchasing of high demand items like graphics cards and games consoles through automated bots with trade associations such as Ukie”.

“We understand they are currently examining further actions they can take to prevent these behaviours and are working with their retailers to improve experiences for customers purchasing their products,” the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy said.
