Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa has ‘every chance’ of being called up to the England squad ahead of this summer’s Euro 2020 finals.
The defender has been in brilliant form so far this season, being a mainstay in a defence that has kept 12 clean sheets in the Premier League.
Only league leaders Manchester City’s defence has been meaner so far this season.
That form has led to speculation that Konsa is being considered for a full international call-up by England manager Gareth Southgate as he looks to prepare his squad for the tournament.
The Three Lions are next in action next month.
And a call-up wouldn’t surprise former Villa man Gabriel Agbonlahor.
“He’s [Konsa] got every chance because he’s been playing outstanding football. He’s comfortable with the ball, he can play out from the back and he’s got that pace which you need in international football,” he told FootballInsider .
“Konsa, Mings, Targett, all of them have got aspirations of playing for England. If they keep playing how they’re playing, anything’s possible.
“I’ve heard that he’s a good lad, he’s very confident in his ability. Great signing from Dean Smith. Every signing’s been perfect. He came from Brentford, didn’t cost a huge amount of money and now he’s probably worth five times that amount.”

Konsa’s form has also led to speculation over his future at Villa Park, with reports suggesting that both Tottenham and Liverpool are eying the defender ahead of the summer transfer window.
The defender will be hoping to help his team keep another clean sheet when he comes up against potential England teammates Harvey Barnes and James Maddison in the Premier League encounter vs Leicester City on Sunday.
