Police have tonight sealed off a city street.
Linwood Road in Handsworth is closed at the junction with Whateley Road.
A police car is also blocking the street near the junction with Soho Road.
The cause of the police operation was not immediately known.
We have asked West Midlands Police for a statement and a reporter is at the scene.
