Gloucester Rugby host Sale Sharks at Kingsholm on Saturday evening in Round Five of the Gallagher Premiership.

The Cherry & Whites have lost just twice at Kingsholm in any tournament since August, both in Premiership Rugby to Harlequins in September and December.

Sale Sharks have lost their last three matches in all tournaments but have not been defeated in four successive matches in the same season since 2016/17. The Sharks have lost just once away from home in Gallagher Premiership Rugby since August: 13-15 at Newcastle on 27 November.

The Sharks only defeat in their last four encounters with Gloucester was 16-18 at Salford in the opening round of last season, whilst Sale’s most recent victory at Kingsholm came in December 2017.

Unfortunately this cracking festive fixture will not have any fans at it due to Government restrictions on large scale gathering to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

But the good news is the game is being shown live on TV and here are all the ways you can follow the match.

What time is kick-off?

The game at Kingsholm kicks-off time to 4.30pm on Saturday, January 2.

Is the game on TV?

Yes. The great news is BT Sport have confirmed they will show every game being played behind closed doors during the 2020/21 Gallagher Premiership season.

Today’s game is being shown live on BT Sport 2 HD/Ultimate .

The coverage will start at 4.15pm.

Through an agreement between Premiership Rugby and BT Sport, eligible club season ticket holders will gain free access to home Gallagher Premiership matches on the BT Sport App.

The BT Sport Match Pass is designed for season ticket holders of participating clubs who do not already have a BT Sport subscription and who cannot attend their home matches due to the current restrictions.

How else can I follow the game?

If you can’t watch the game live on TV you can follow all the play-by-play action on our live blog on Gloucestershire Live.

BBC Radio Gloucestershire will also be providing live commentary for the game.
