It’s the last weekend before Christmas and people have been heading out to the stores and searching online to buy last minute presents.
And while many have all their festive shopping sorted, parents and gamers are still frantically trying to snap up the must have consoles this festive season.
The new flagship PS5 and Xbox Series X as well as the Nintendo Switch have been hard to come by in the run up to Christmas, with stocks vanishing from suppliers within seconds as soon as they’ve become available.
But there were rumours that more consoles could drop this week – however hardly any retailers have any in stock, report BirminghamLive.
BT sent out emails to customers two days ago for those people who registered interest in buying a console and Amazon appeared to have supplies of consoles earlier in the week.
Argos has now revealed it will not have any more consoles in stock in 2020, while GAME has taken its PS5 page entirely from its website.
Some people have been able to find consoles at their local Argos and Tesco stores so that looks like the best chance for shoppers.
One Twitter user @tuftynetwork, he managed to find a console in his local Argos store in Brighton so there is a possibility you might be able to grab one from a local store.
And one account @rdt_ukdemon managed to get a console from his Tesco store in Brighton.
He said: “Don’t shoot the messenger but my daughter in law got this today by complete fluke saves me looking now so there is stock out there”.
According to the stockinformer website, Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, AO, Currys and Game are all out of PS5 consoles.
The same goes for the Xbox Series X, which is seemingly out of stock at all retailers.
The Nintendo Switch also seems to be out of stock at all main retailers, although Amazon does appear to have consoles available via third party retailers.
