A Lush gift is always going to be a godsend for many at Christmas- so we had to take a look.
The concept of lush’s latest perfume set aptly named Reniassance is based upon the belief that medicine was based on humoral theory for centuries; the idea being that the body was made up of four humors.
What each scent in the four scent range does is give a modern representation of perfumery during the Renaissance.
So, each of the perfumes are created and infused with the finest essential oils which match each humor.
Don’t forget, if you struggle to get Lush products on their website, there are always other skin and hair care products available at other huge retailers including Boots, Amazon and more.
The gift set is priced at £82.50, and would we say it is worth it… absolutely!
Here’s what we thought of each individual scent.
When you first smell Sappho almost reminds me of Old Spice my dad would wear as a child (trust me this is heading towards a positive review!).
It’s got such a heart warming scent for me, and as the day goes o it has a really fresh, almost talc like scent which doesn’t seem to fade.
The sandalwood oil which is present in this concoction makes it one of my favourite of the scents- but you have to give it time, that first spritz is so potent but its a beautiful, settling scent throughout the day.

If you enjoy woody heavily scented perfumes/ aftershaves then Nero is the one for you.
This bergamot oil infused scent is stunning- I feel like this is a fresh, night out scent and will last all night.
I worn this for date night as I like a more masculine scented fragrance at night BUT it does still have citrus notes to give it a more feminine touch.

When I first sprayed the Frangipani fragrance, it instantly took me to a spa retreat- you know those sweet, aromatic oils you smell when you walk into a spa?
The almond and sandalwood oils are a gorgeous mix for me- it’s sweet (but not too sweet) with that woody hint.
If you need a longlasting scent this one is perfect and not too overpowering either.

Confetti for me I think is a very personal preference scent.
I for one, don’t necessarily like rose hints in my perfumes but for those who do would love this.
Its quite subtle, but still for me any rose scented products just remind me of my great nan as a child (sorry Lush!)

I think it would be unfair to say that this gift set deserves anything less than 4/5 based on my personal preference of the last scent.
