A man has pulled 19 hand grenades out of a river in Coleshill whilst out magnet fishing.
Che Williams was using his magnetic fishing rod in an attempt to find an old rod he had once lost in that area of the river.
Instead, he ended up pulling up a hand grenade.
He pulled up 18 more, as well as a bullet and around three cans before calling the police.
Speaking to CoventryLive, Che said: “I was actually trying to catch something I lost in the river years ago.
“I was fishing and hadn’t caught anything, so thought I may as well try to find what I’d lost and ended up pulling out a hand grenade.”

Understandably, Che said seeing a grenade on the end of his line was the last thing he expected.
He said: “To begin with I thought ‘what’s that?’ and then I realised it was a grenade so threw it to one side.
“After that I was hoping to find a gun or something, but that’s what I found, so I called 101.”
Che said after calling the police, they arrived in around five minutes and evacuated the area straight away.
If any of the grenades are safe, he has asked if he can keep one as a keep sake.
“I have asked to see if there are any safe ones”, he said. “I’d like to have it as a keep sake.
“I’m just waiting to hear from them.”
CoventryLive has contacted Warwickshire Police to request a comment on the find.
