The company chosen to manage a shopping arcade in Cirencester is looking to improve the line-up of traders and businesses.
Chartered surveyors SPG Property has opened a new office at Cirencester Office Park, Tetbury Road, after winning the contract to run the town’s Bishops Walk Shopping Arcade.
Spencer Gower, the firm’s managing director, said he was confident new tenants could be brought in for Cirencester’s only covered shopping centre,
He said: “Having been a consultant working in the town for the past two years I believe that Cirencester has shown great resilience during the pandemic and is in a strong position to grow economically when we eventually get back to some kind of normality in 2021.
“The management instruction secured with Bishops Walk means we’ll be acting as both managing agents and joint lettings agents on behalf of our client Padmanor Investments Limited.
“Having been involved with the centre over the past year I am excited to carry on the great work already achieved and continue to improve the centre.
“With new lettings recently secured such as Purrfect Pets and GlamoRose Cakes we have exciting plans for 2021 which we believe will help to further improve the tenant line up at Bishops Walk.
“As well as Bishops Walk, we have also secured several other instructions in the town, which include managing properties in Castle Street, Cricklade Street and Querns Business Centre in Whitworth Road.”
The firm’s new office was officially opened in November, and offers property management, asset management, agency and letting services and commercial and residential valuations.
Stephen Davies, from Padmanor Investments Limited, said: “This year has seen many challenges for property owners and high street retailers with the Covid-19 pandemic.
“But with the help of SPG Property we are confident that 2021 will be a successful year for the town and it will continue to be a desirable place to visit and live.”
