Coventry City have “a solid base” to succeed in the Championship, says Dom Hyam.
The Sky Blues have kept three clean sheets in six matches ahead of facing Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
“If you want to improve that’s where you start off,” said Hyam, after the 0-0 midweek draw with Luton Town.
“We have given ourselves a solid base and we have just got to try to score more goals.
“I think the draws will help in the end as every point is important and we have got to keep going.
“It is all momentum, if you can’t win then don’t lose and we carry this on into Saturday and hopefully get a result there.”
Coventry go into the match against Wycombe on the back of two wins and four draws in their last six league matches.
“That’s six unbeaten and a clean sheet and I don’t think we were at our best but when you are not at your best you can’t lose; it is something to build on,” added Hyam.
“It was one of those games where there were few chances and it could have been a bit of magic either way, in the end both teams settled for a point.
“They (Luton) are a good team with talented players, and we have kept James Collins quiet who has scored goals at various levels.
“The volume of the games it takes its toll, Tuesday night is a quick turnaround and when it’s not flowing and as attacking as you like, we have kept in there and kept a clean sheet.”
