A young woman was attacked and robbed in the street as she made her way home in Leicester.
The 19-year-old victim was set upon and forced to the ground before the thieves made off with her purse and mobile phone.
It happened as she was walking along London Road, in the Knighton area of the city, last month, however, details have only now been revealed.
Leicestershire Police have released an image of a woman and two others who they would like to speak to in connection with the attack, on Friday, November 20.
A spokesperson for the force said the incident occurred “shortly after 10pm” close to the turning for Shirley Road.
“The victim, a 19-year-old woman, was walking along London Road when she was followed and attacked by a woman at the pedestrian crossing close to the junction of Shirley Road,” they said.
“She was forced to the floor and her purse and mobile phone were taken.
“The woman, along with two other people, walked off towards the city centre.”
Investigators said that a number of passing cars stopped to help her and are appealing to anyone who can help identify the individuals pictured to get in touch.
PC Glenn Spencer said: “The woman was with two other people. I’d like to speak to the three people pictured as I believe they have information regarding this incident.
“Do you recognise them? Do you know who they are – or are you one of those people?”
He added: “Any details you can provide, no matter how insignificant you think they are, could help my investigation.”
