Jordan North has secured the ultimate endorsement for a Burnley fan.
The BBC Radio 1 DJ had one big vote in the I’m A Celebrity 2020 final – Lancashire hero James Anderson.
Jimmy Anderson is England cricket’s all time record wicket-taker – but is also a fellow Burnley legend and Lancashire star.
Jordan has made no secret of his Burnley love while in the Welsh castle, saying the club’s Turf Moor ground was his “happy place”.
He has also worn their claret and blue scarf.
Anderson revealed he had voted for his fellow Lancastrian when prompted by the BBC’s Greg James.
He responded: “First time I’ve voted for anyone since Hear’Say.”
Jordan faced podcaster and author Giovanna Fletcher and TV host Vernon Kay in tonight’s final.
The 30-year-old was relatively unknown away from the airwaves before he entered the castle but will now be offered advertising deals and TV appearances which could land him as much as £1million in the next 12 months.
Similarly Giovanna, 35, will be offered the chance to make more TV shows and have the pick of promotional deals, as well as the opportunity to publish more best-selling books.
Vernon, already a well known star for ITV viewers, went in keen to move on from sexting scandal a decade ago and has proved himself to be a down-to-earth and friendly figure, which will see him in demand in 2021 too.
