An Asian restaurant chain is looking to open a new branch in Leicester city centre.
Wok to Walk, a Dutch company serving up Asian fast food which has more than 100 restaurants across the world, is lining up a move to convert a vacant office in Granby Street into a new place to eat.
Planning documents lodged with Leicester City Council say 17 full time and five part-time jobs will be created by the opening.
City council planning officers have approved the scheme despite one objection that a new restaurant would create an odour issue and attract vermin.
Wok to Walk currently has 15 restaurants in the UK in cities including Birmingham, Coventry, Cardiff, Liverpool, Manchester and London as well as others in Europe, Central America and the Middle East.
The opening seems likely to be welcomed by Leicester diners.
When Asian chicken chain Jollibees opened a new branch, in Humberstone Gate, last month there were queues of some 120 people waiting from 7am.
