Lockdown 2 has ended, welcome to Tier 2 and ‘Wild Wednesday’.
Gloucestershire is today under a different set of restrictions than it was yesterday, and a different set of restrictions compared to life before Lockdown 2.
We have woken to a world where you can go to Primark and John Lewis as non-essential shops reopen, but you can’t meet a friend who isn’t in a support bubble of a household for a pint in a pub.
Neither can you socialise indoors with anyone who isn’t in your household or support bubble.
You can meet outside, but that old Rule of Six applies as well.
And the rules Gloucestershire are under are different to those in Tier 3 Bristol, or the Tier 1 Isle of Wight for instance.
You can find a full list of Tier 2 restrictions here and in the blog below.
Today, as the first day of the new restrictions and some new freedomes begin, we’ll bring you all the latest developments on what has been dubbed ‘Wild Wednesday’ as people go back to the shops and do some Christmas shopping.
We’ll have journalists in Cheltenham and Gloucester and we’ll bring you the latest county, regional and national picture below.
If you would like to talk to a journalist, or have your say on how life in Tier 2 is going to impact you, your family, your friends and your work, let us know.
