The five areas in Coventry with the highest Covid infection rate

Coventry is preparing to head into Tier 3 restrictions next week when the country comes out of its national lockdown.

The infection rate in the city has once again been dropping and this has been mirrored in different areas.

However, there are some parts which are still seeing rather high infection rates, some over 400 per 100,000 people.

Below you can see the five areas in the city with the highest infection rates up to November 23.

Willenhall



Up to November 23, Willenhall had the highest infection rate in the city, sitting at 441.4 cases per 100,000 people.

During this the period up to this date, there were 33 coronavirus cases.

Compared to the rest of the country, Willenhall is extremely above the average.

Ernesford Grange and Stoke Aldermoor



Ernesford Grange and Stoke Aldermoor had 44 cases in the time running up to November 23.

Despite having more cases than Willenhall, the infection rate in this area was 410.9 per 100,000 people.

This places it well above the national average.

Radford West



Despite having a much lower infection rate than the previous two city areas, Radford West was still well above the national average.

There was an infection rate of 334.8 per 100,000 in the seven days up to November 23 and 24 new coronavirus cases.

Whitley and Tollbar End



Running up to November 23, Whitley and Tollbar End had more new cases than Radford West.

However, their infection rate was still lower, sitting at 305.7 per 100,000.

Like the other areas, it was still well above the UK national average.

Allesley Green and Lower Eastern Green



Allesley Green and Lower Eastern Green had an infection rate of 305.6 per 100,000 in the seven days up to November 23.

They had 18 new cases during this time, also placing the area well above the national average.
