Leicestershire family attraction Conkers is set to be transformed into a magical winter wonderland this Christmas.

The Winter Wonderland festive experience will open on Saturday, December 5 and will run on various dates until Christmas including December 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 21 and 24 (subject to Covid-19 restrictions).

Upon arrival, adults will be treated to a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie while children can enjoy one of Mrs Claus’s Christmas cookies.

Then it’s outside to join Santa’s Chief Elf and his team who will lead you through the Enchanted Forest and the valley of Christmas lights to discover Santa’s woodland grotto, where children will get to meet the man himself.

All children will receive a gift from Santa and can enjoy story time in the Snow Cave with Barney Owl and the Singing Reindeer, a balloon modeller (1-5pm), and watch a festive film in the 4D cinema.

The Chief Elf’s Twinkle Toes Train will be running and visitors can use Conkers Discovery Centre from 10am which includes the indoor play area, ranger crafts and the outdoor walks and activities.

The Winter Wonderland experience will follow all official Covid guidelines to ensure the safety of guests including:

  • Staggered times for meeting Santa’s Chief Elf and team
  • Admissions available from 10am daily and Winter Wonderland guests are able to check in at multiple entries to avoid congestion
  • The train will be stopping at both sites with opportunity for families to enjoy all of Conkers’ 120 acres
  • Santa’s Chief Elf Twinkle Toes will be in touch with parents, should the government require parents to be additionally prepared for their experience

Tickets cost £9.95 for a member child (£14.50 non-member) and £9.95 for a for a member adult (£12.50 non-member).

Family of four tickets are available for £52.
