Gamers desperate to get their hands on a PS5 have been given hope after th consoles rapidly sold out on their release last week.

Several stores have reassured customers new stock is on the way and could be on the shelves by next month.

Many desperate to get their hands on Sony’s new offering in the Playstation range were left disappointed last week reports BirminghamLive.

Some stores went so far as to tell those who had not pre-ordered not to show up as they had no hope of getting their hands on a new PS5.

In Coventry and Warwickshire, some complained online ordering systems had not worked properly and that their orders had simply vanished from virtual shopping baskets.

Chains such as GAME, Amazon, Game, Currys PC World, John Lewis and Argos were all sold out within hours.

Some stores have now updated eager customers on their stock supplies, with Smyths Toys saying more PS5 stock is expected ‘December 2020’.

Meanwhile, AO.com is saying they should have more of the elusive consoles arriving ‘soon’.

A message of its website read: “Thank you to everyone who has visited us and placed an order for a PS5.

“If you were not able to purchase one, we should have more stock arriving soon, please continue to check back online for further updates.”

Similarly, Argos has also promised that stock will be resupplied in the very near future.

Argos said: “We don’t have any stock available for launch day but we’ll have more soon.

“Sign up and we’ll let you know as soon as have more detail.”

Very has also said it has ‘more stock coming’ and urged shoppers to keep checking back.

Meanwhile eBuyer has told shoppers: “More stock is due soon. Existing pre-orders are being prioritised.”

Chains such as Amazon, Currys PC World and John Lewis haven’t provided a restock date on their websites.
