A severe fire ripped through an abandoned house in Sedgley this afternoon.
A team of 10 firefighters battled the blaze in a derelict property in Beacon Lane just before 4pm today (November 20)
Pictures and videos taken at the scene showed thick columns of smoke being emitted from the wreckage.
The footage also revealed the ground floor completely engulfed by ferocious flames.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Control said: “We were called to Beacon Lane in Sedgley this afternoon at 3.54pm.
“We sent a crew from Brierley Hill and one crew from Bilston to the scene – a total of 10 firefighters were in attendance.
“The incident involved a severe fire in the ground floor room of a derelict two-storey property.
“The team left the scene just before 5pm.”
The incident has been reported to the council. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
