Cops have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found inside a Netherton home.
Crossley Street – close to Halesowen Road – has been sealed off by units from West Midlands Police on Thursday, November 12, after the tragic discovery at around 12.30pm.
The death of the woman is currently being treated as unexplained and a scene is in place for enquiries to continue.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning.
Photographs taken at the scene show a number of response vehicles blocking off the carriageway and blue and white tape erected around the site.
Forensic officers have also been seen taking photos of an address inside the cordon, which is close to Netherton Health Centre.
A spokesman for the force said: “We’re investigating after the body of a woman was found at an address in Crossley Street, Netherton, this afternoon (November 12).
“We were alerted to the discovery by ambulance service colleagues just before 12.40pm.
“The death of the woman is currently being treated as unexplained and a scene is in place for enquiries to continue.
“A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning.
