Leicester City fans have taken to social media to praise Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo after his comments about the club.
City host Wolves at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon, knowing that a win will take them to the top of the Premier League table.
Ahead of the match, Espirito Santo spoke highly of Leicester as a club and as a team.
“I look at Leicester with real admiration,” the Wolves boss said.
“Not only because of what they achieved as Premier League champions, but because of one of the hardest moments they had with the loss of their owner.
“How they united as a club was amazing. To be able to overcome such a sad moment and be strong again and compete like they are doing is a big compliment for them, so I have huge admiration for Leicester as a club.”
City recently commemorated the two-year anniversary of the helicopter crash that took the life of Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and four others.
Espirito Santo also praised the performance against Portuguese side Braga in the Europa League on Thursday night, a game in which they came out as 4-0 winners.
“Leicester is a fantastic team and you can see in their previous games, even against Braga, how well they played,” he added.
