Whether you’re a fan of Salvation or Vixen, Blue Fox or APA, there’s now a new place to enjoy your favourite Charnwood Brewery beer.
The Loughborough-based brewery has just launched its second micropub – The Hall Croft Tap, in Shepshed – and we’ve been in to have a look around.
The Hall Croft Tap is so named as it is in Hall Croft, Shepshed. The unit was previously a motorbike repair shop and a hobby shop.

There’s two sides to the new micropub – the blue side and the red side.
The blue side has the bar, a log burner and seating and is strictly for over 18s only.
The red side includes more seating and is open to under 18s on a Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 7pm.
There’s also a small courtyard with benches, as well as a garden area.
Customers can enjoy a range of Charnwood’s cask and craft beers plus Stiegl, a premium lager imported from Austria, with Westons Stowford Press cider to complete the draught range.
There is also a selection of gin, rum, wine, and soft drinks. Those who fancy a bite to eat with their beer can treat themselves to a pork pie or scotch egg.
The Hall Croft Tap is the second micropub to be opened by Charnwood Brewery.
Its first micropub, The Sorrel Fox, was launched in Mountsorrel in December 2018.
It will give you regular email updates on the latest from restaurants and bars in Leicestershire.

Charnwood Brewery was started by Andrew and Andrea Reed in December 2014, with the idea of producing fantastic beers to sell to pubs, bars and restaurants in the local area.
They always wanted to sell their beer to the best pub in a village or area, and where that wasn’t possible, they would consider opening their own outlet.
The Hall Croft Tap is open Tuesday to Thursday from 4pm until 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 12pm until 10pm and Sunday from 12pm until 9pm.
