Leicester City will start without a recognised striker at Arsenal with Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho both on the bench at the Emirates Stadium.
Vardy is fit enough to return to the squad, but only among the substitutes, while Iheanacho also drops to the bench, with winger Harvey Barnes likely to lead the line.
James Justin comes in for Iheanacho in the only change from Thursday’s Europa League win over Zorya Luhansk, with Rodgers reverting to the back three that was used against Manchester City and West Ham.
Christian Fuchs will likely play alongside Wesley Fofana and Jonny Evans in the back three, with Timothy Castagne and Justin as wing-backs.
City then have four central midfielders in their 11 with Papy Mendy and Youri Tielemans likely to be the deeper two, with Dennis Praet and James Maddison supporting Barnes, who will be tasked with using his pace to trouble the Gunners’ back-line.
Joining Vardy and Iheanacho on the bench are the likes of Cengiz Under and Marc Albrighton, with no place in the squad for Islam Slimani nor Demarai Gray.
City (3-4-2-1): Schmeichel; Fofana, Evans, Fuchs; Castagne, Mendy, Tielemans, Justin; Praet, Maddison; Barnes.
Subs: Ward, Morgan, Choudhury, Albrighton, Under, Iheanacho, Vardy.
