A group of neighbours in a Warwickshire village are all £1,000 better off, all thanks to their postcode.
Four residents of Blackdown, in the Warwick district of the county won the money through the People’s Postcode Lottery.
It comes as their lucky CV32 6QR Stoneleigh Road postcode was announced as a daily prize winner on Thursday (October 22).
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Matt Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners.
He said: “A big congratulations to all those who have picked up a prize today in Blackdown.
“I hope the win will help lift their spirits and they treat themselves to something special with the cash.”
What is the postcode lottery?
People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery. Players sign up to pay monthly in advance by direct debit, debit card or PayPal.
There are ten draws each month with prizes every day.
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities. Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
Yesterday’s draw as promoted on behalf of Barnardo’s which has received more than £5.2 million in funding thanks to the postcode lottery.
Barnardo’s purpose is to transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children through essential services, campaigning and research.
The children’s charity work directly with more than 300,000 children, young people and families.
