Sainsbury’s has announced big changes to its shopping rules.
The supermarket, which has stores across Coventry and Warwickshire, has made the change amid rising coronavirus rates across the country.
Customers have been asked to come shopping on their own with a “one adult at a time” rule.
In a statement Sainsbury’s said: “We are asking everyone to only send one adult per household to our shops.
“This helps us keep people a safe distance apart and also helps to reduce queues to get into stores.”
What about children?
The statement adds: “Our store teams will be asking groups with more than one adult to choose one adult to shop and will ask other adults to wait.
“Children are welcome if they are not able to stay at home.”
The supermarket added that was limiting the number of customers allowed in its stores at one timem and has also reduced the number of checkouts in supermarkets too.
