Police warned that a 160 cannabis plant farm they found in a Bedworth house as a ‘fire waiting to happen’.

According to officers, Western Power Distribution said that the ‘shoddy electrics’ used to help grow the plants could have sparked a blaze.

Officers from North Warwickshire D Shift found the cannabis farm at a home in Wootton Street.

They were at the address to help court enforcement officers.

The plants have now been seized.

The post on North Warwickshire Police page on Facebook read: “160 cannabis plants were discovered in the address along with shoddy electrics which were “a fire waiting to happen” according to western power.

“The investigation is still on going.”

Anyone with suspicions about drugs or drug dealing in their community should call Warwickshire Police on 101.
