Leeds United fans are fuming at the decision to move their Premier League clash with Aston Villa later this month to a Friday night.
Originally due to kick off at 3pm on Saturday, October 24 at 3pm the game at Villa ‘s Villa Park home will now take place the day before at 8pm and will be screened on BT Sport Box Office.
The game has been shifted because of the move to screen all matches that are not being televised on subscription services to Sky Sports and BT Sport’s ‘Box Office’ channels.
Leeds have made a fine start to life back in the Premier League after a 16-year absence, winning two of their four games and losing and drawing the other couple to Liverpool and Manchester City respectively.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side will return from the international break with the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers on October 19 at 8pm on a Monday night before a short turnaround for the Villa match only a few days later.
And that is something Whites fans aren’t best pleased about, with Dean Smith ‘s Villa to benefit from an extra day’s rest because they play Leicester City the night before.
“So we get Monday-Friday that week.,” one fan said.
“So we play Monday and then Friday – how is that fair?” another asked.

“Playing Wolves on the Monday and Villa on Friday,” a third fan said, “not much rest.”
“Three days rest without midweek matches? That’s ridiculous!” another added.
And a fifth fan added: “That’s a bit of a shambles considering we play on the Monday night.”
