The communities in Shepshed and Loughborough have been praised for their help in finding a missing man.
40-year-old Richard Adams from the Ringwood Road area of Shepshed went missing on Monday evening (October 5).
Leicestershire Police were concerned for the welfare of the missing man and released a picture and a statement to the public in a bid to locate him – with the community springing into action sharing the message.
Searches were carried out including volunteers from Leicestershire Search and Rescue.
Fortunately, he was found yesterday and returned home safe and well according to the force.
A spokesman said: “Officers would like to thank everyone who shared the appeal and came forward with information.”
The search volunteers praised authorities and thanked the community for its aid in a statement on Twitter yesterday.
In the update on social media, it said: “Teams standing down and returning home!
