Mark Robins has made a change to his Coventry City team as they bid for back-to-back victories in the Championship.

The Sky Blues are in South Yorkshire to take on a Barnsley side still looking for their first points of the new season after losing their opening two matches.

City skipper Liam Kelly sits out for a second game running as he continues his recovery from a slight hamstring tear, with Ben Sheaf coming in to replace Jordan Shipley in the middle of the park alongside Gustavo Hamer.

Summer loan signing Leo Ostigard continues to keep out star defender Michael Rose, who provides back-up from the bench, with the Norwegian defender deployed to the right of the back three that sees Kyle McFadzean in the middle and Dom Hyam on the left.

Fankaty Dabo, who yesterday delighted fans by signing a new three year deal with the club, continues in the right wing-back slot while Ryan Giles retains the shirt on the opposite flank following Sam McCallum’s return to City on loan from Norwich.

McCallum is named on the bench on a day when Brandon Mason misses out on the match day squad.

Callum O’Hare and Jamie Allen virtually pick themselves at the top of the midfield box in Robins’s preferred 3-4-2-1 formation, as does striker Matty Godden who is looking to make it three goals in three games when he takes to the field at Oakwell.

Coventry City’s Ben Sheaf makes his full league debut today

Tyler Walker and Amadou Bakayoko provide attacking options from the bench, while rookie keeper Tom Billson continues to deputise for first choice Marko Marosi in the absence of the injured Ben Wilson.

City: Marko Marosi; Leo Ostigard, Kyle McFadzean, Dom Hyam; Fankaty Dabo, Gustavo Hamer, Ben Sheaf, Ryan Giles; Jamie Allen, Callum O’Hare; Matty Godden.

Subs: Tom Billson (GK), Michael Rose, Josh Pask, Sam McCallum, Jordan Shipley, Tyler Walker, Amadou Bakayoko.
