Leicester City have confirmed their second summer arrival, winger Cengiz Under arriving on loan from Roma.
Signing a creative player was one of City’s priorities and they now have their man. Under will arrive initially on loan, but it is understood City have an option, not an obligation, to buy him next summer.
It has been reported in Italy that the loan fee is €3m (£2.75m), with the sale fee set at €24m (£22m).
Under is a left-footed right-sided winger, known for his dribbling ability and his chance creation attributes.
He was only a bit-part player in Serie A last season, scoring three goals, but registered six goals and 10 assists in the previous season and has averaged a goal or assist every three games during his time in Italy. He has experience in the Champions League and Europa League too.
He graduated from the famed academy at Turkish side Altinordu alongside City centre-back Caglar Soyuncu, who he counts as one of his best friends.
He arrives following the £21.5m capture of Timothy Castagne last month. The deal is subject to Premier League and international clearance, and he is not eligible to play against Burnley on Sunday.
