When I get home from work in the evenings, I’m usually exhausted. Working in a busy supermarket really takes it out of me. I usually get myself comfy, eat my favourite food and relax. I’ve also been taking a lot better care of my hands seeing as they’re getting a lot more abuse recently. One part of me that I’ve been neglecting though is my feet. So, this is how I have been treating them.

Exfoliating foot mask
I am on my feet constantly at work and they can get really sore. The shoes I wear are comfortable, but all of that standing does eventually take its toll. One of my favourite things to use on my feet is an exfoliating foot mask. I like to use one of these a couple of times a year, just to get rid of any dry skin. They come in a packet, much like sheet masks and they’re ready for you to apply.

The one I have chosen to use is from Lirene. A foot peel mask is a great way to treat yourself. You simply put your feet in the boots that are inside the packet and leave them on for up to an hour. It takes a few days for the peeling to start, but when it does, it’s great!
I last did a foot peel mask just after I came back from Amsterdam. I had done a lot of walking and felt like my feet really needed pampering. I used this pack from Lirene then and they worked amazingly well.

Foot serum
In between using foot peels, it is a good idea to use some sort of cream or serum. You can’t use them until your feet have fully peeled which can take up to ten days. This is something I always forget to use – I’ve always got a hand cream in my bag but I always forget about my feet!
I have been using the Bielenda Comfort+ Serum which is a cream for cracked and hardened heels. As I am always on my feet and I have been trying to break in a couple of pairs of shoes recently, my feet definitely need something like this. I have been using it in the evenings before I go to bed and it’s made a big difference. Once I’ve used the foot peel mask and have gone through the process, I’ll be using this again. It sinks in really quickly and leaves your feet feeling soft and moisturised.
