Leicester City are now locked in a two-way fight to sign Roma’s Cengiz Under, according to reports in Italy.
The Foxes have already been linked with the winger, who the Serie A club are prepared to let go before next month’s transfer deadline.
Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest in the Turk. Steve Bruce’s side are said to have wanted to take the player on a season-long loan.
But according to calciomercato.it, Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin are Leicester’s chief rivals to secure Under’s services.
The report states Leicester remain keen on bringing the Basaksehir player, whose Roma contract expires in 2023, to the King Power Stadium.
It has been previously claimed that Roma are only interested in letting Under leave on a permanent basis, with the Italian club looking for around €25m for his services.
