West Midland Safari Park will soon be feeling like a proper safari experience!
It is opening eight new swanky lodges in its grounds next year.
But as well as offering a luxury hotel stay, the main selling point will be most definitely be the incredible views of the park’s African elephants and cheetahs.
Although the lodges are currently under construction, the Kidderminster park has released concept imagery showing what the views outside the windows will be like, The Mirror reports.
The interior of the new venues is also seriously impresssive.
The overnight space will be split into elephant lodges and cheetah lodges – and you can choose where to stay depe
nding on which animal you prefer to see in the morning!
The lodges offering elephant views include open-plan living room with a dining area, spacious bedrooms and a bathroom.
There’s also outdoor seating and floor-to-ceiling windows so you can take in the direct views of the animals as they wander around (you won’t even need to leave your bed!).
Out of the eight lodges, two will be offering views of the cheetahs.
Guests will also be treated extra perks including a chef to cook you meals and of course admission to the Safari Park and its attractions.
The safari lodges were originally planned to open in summer 2020 but the park said this date had to be pushed back due to Covid.
A new opening date is now planned for February 2021.
As we’re in the grips of a global pandemic, exotic holidays appear – for now – to be very much a thing of the past.
So it’s good to know there are some exotic staycations coming our way.
West Midlands Safari Park’s new lodges will open around the same time as the new Giraffe Hall in Kent.
Part of the luxury Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve the venue – believed to be the first of its kind in the western hemisphere – will allow guests to sleep mere metres from a giraffe.
As we previously reported, there is already waiting list of 9,000 people before its summer 2021 opening date.
Bookings for the new lodges at West Midlands Safari Park haven’t yet opened but you can keep an eye out for updates on the website
