Young players to be loaned out
The promising Leicester City players featuring in pre-season will head out on loan to Championship and League One clubs, Brendan Rodgers has said.
A host of City’s academy prospects have featured in the games against Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday, but once competitive action starts, they could head off around the country to continue their development with other clubs.
Ten Under-23s players were named in the squad for the goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday – defenders Vontae Daley-Campbell, Darnell Johsnon, Josh Knight, and Luke Thomas, midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Sidnei Tavares, Khanya Leshabela, and forwards Josh Eppiah, Admiral Muskwe, Geoge Hirst – and Rodgers has been impressed with their approach to training and matches.
