As we are coming up to the end of August, autumn is fast approaching. It’s time to put away our summer products and start embracing the colder weather. Here are four products that I’m going to be using over the next few weeks.
Keeping moisturised
As the weather switches and gets colder, my skin tends to get drier. I always forget to moisturise during the summer, but it’s something I need to remember in autumn. I can’t stand the feeling of dry skin and my legs and arms in particular get really dry. Something that works really well for my skin is coconut oil so I always try to get products that contain it. I have tried many different products over the last few years but here are two new ones that I am loving.

The Saloos Bio Coconut Care body oil smells amazing, it’s a solid oil which liquifies on contact with your fingers. I like to apply this to my arms and legs when I’m just out of the shower. It has an amazing chocolate and coconut scent which reminds me of a Bounty bar! I find that it keeps me feeling smooth and moisturised for a couple of days.

My lips always seem to get neglected when I’m doing my skincare routine. They get really dry at this time of year and throughout the winter. I have a really good lip balm which I use at night, but during the day I needed something that was a bit easier to apply. The Catrice Coconut Balm is small enough to keep in my handbag and I can apply it whenever I need it. It has a really subtle coconut scent and keeps my lips nicely moisturised.
Eye care

Another part of my face that I seem to neglect is my under eyes. I have noticed that I’ve been getting some dark circles recently. This may be because I haven’t been getting enough sleep or it may also be down to a lack of skincare. I decided to try the Korres Cucumber Eye Mask which is meant to reduce dark circles and swelling. I’ve been applying this first thing in the morning with my moisturiser and have found that it’s really helping. I no longer have really puffy eyes when I arrive at work and I look a lot more awake. With continued use my dark circles should be looking less prominent too.
Setting Spray

When I do my makeup, I want it to last as long as possible so I always use a setting spray. I’ve tried so many over the years and I have found that the best ones are from Revolution. One that I have been trying recently is from their sister brand, I Heart Revolution and is the Pineapple Brightening Fixing Spray. I love the scent of this, it obviously smells like pineapple but isn’t too overpowering. It helps to make my face look a lot less powdery and makes my makeup stay on longer.
