Leicester City are the bookies favourites to complete a move for Burnley midfielder Dwight McNeil – and their prediction has got Foxes fans excited.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are 15/8 to be the 20-year-old’s next club, say odds by Oddschecker, after being linked with a summer move by reports in the national media.
Wolves are second-favourites at 7/2 with Nuno Espirito Santo said to be keen to build after missing out on Champions League football last term.
And Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are also high in the betting at 14/1 and 33/1 respectively.
Rodgers is, of course, in the market for a left-back this summer but he is also understood to be keen on landing a new winger before the window slams shut.
And here is what Leicester fans have been saying about the bookies predictions…
Tom Hands: Please be true and if so get it over and done with quickly so we can get at least two others in.
Tim Parker: He’d be a great signing.
Tom Harvey: I really hope this happens, he’s going to become a top player.
Kenny Obilaso: Sweet left foot!
Andy Johnson: Is he what we need? Not sure, but he looked very good last season.
Burt McNeil: Please, please happen!
Alan Smith: Creativity and goals is what we need – can cope at FB with Luke T short term then JK and Ricardo. If we can get someone like Alonso that would be brilliant.
Anthony Bennett: Speak to any Burnley fan (rather than Larry from Leicester) and they will tell you how good he is!
Simon Banks: He ain’t a left-back is he so why are we showing an interest when we need a left-back.
