If you’ve always dreamed of going on a safari, a hotel in the UK is soon set to offer you a slice of the action.

Port Lympne will allow guests to sleep just metres away from roaming giraffes  – and they will be able to feed them from their bedroom windows too!

The giraffes’ walking trail will be directed right past the luxury hotel Giraffe Hall – which is expected to open next summer in Kent, reports The Mirror.

Port Lympne already offers a number of animal experiences, including Lion Lodge, Rhino Lodge and Tiger Lodge.

Giraffe Hall – inside Grade II listed Wealden hall house – will see many of the building’s original features retained.

The animals have already been introduced to their wider habitat, Kent Live reported last September.

According to reports, the waiting list to stay at the hotel has more than 9,000 people on it and 40 people can stay at a time.

No price package is available yet.

A statement from Port Lympne says: “Once completed, the hotel will offer a luxury safari feel while incorporating the comforts and décor of an English stately home.”

Rhinos, lions and tigers

Guests staying at Lion Lodge sleep just metres away from the lions – Adras, Oudrika and their three cubs.

Prices start from £1,750 a night to stay at Lion Lodge, £1,000 to stay at Tiger Lodge and £850 to stay at Rhino Lodge.

Port Lympne already boasts Giraffe Cottage, which sleeps up to eight guests and overlooks the African Experience. Prices to stay at Giraffe Cottage start from £1,099 a night.
