Nuneaton’s Odeon cinema will re-open its doors for the first time this weekend.
It is on the list to re-open from August 21.
The venue, which is a Luxe facility, has been closed for months due to attempts to control the coronavirus pandemic.
Odeon has had a phased re-opening of its cinemas across the country and the Bermuda Park facility is in the second wave of venues to re-open.
Bookings can be made online in preparation of the re-opening.
Changes have been introduced to make it a ‘safer cinema’.
What will change
Safer Buying – Contactless experience, including booking online and contactless ticket checks in cinema and contactless till payments for purchasing food and drinks
Range of ‘Grab & Go’ pre-packaged food and drinks including a bottled drink, Butterkist popcorn and a bag of sweets to improve speed of service
A Safer Space- Limited seats on sale for each show and guaranteed unoccupied seats between guests to meet social distancing requirements, whilst enabling family groups and social bubbles to sit together
Staggered show start times to reduce queues, with safe queuing measures in place such as floor markings and cinema host support
Newly serviced air conditioning that ensures fresh air is delivered into all screens
At the end of the year, the venue underwent a major make-over.
It now boasts a cutting-edge iSense screen boasting 4K projection and Dolby ATMOS 3D sound.
Cinema fans can also lay back in comfort on one of the new 849 handmade recliner seats.
