Aldi’s limited deals on home and garden goods are always a temptation when wheeling our trolley past the middle aisles of the supermarket – and also when shopping on the budget retailer’s website.

Let’s face it, many of us have given in to a purchase from the chain’s legendary Specialbuys.

And now there is a product that will come in very useful during the current hot spell.

Aldi is offering a Retro Pedestal Fan to blow a cooling breeze over you at night when you’re thrashing around in the heat, trying to get to sleep.

It’s proving a popular choice with shoppers, garnering a rating of 4.3 out of 5 and becoming the top seller in home appliances.

Hundreds of shoppers have added the electric fan to their basket in the past 24 hours.

Priced at £32.99, the fan is made by Kirkton House and has a very handy cable length of 68 inches (5ft 8ins, or 1.7 metres) meaning you can position it close to the bed after connecting to a plug socket in the wall. Just be careful not to trip over the cable if you get up in the night.

The size of the fan is 90-120cm (adjustable height) x 44.5cm x 40.6cm (approximately.)

But as the Speciabuys are all available only for a limited time before being replaced with a new set of deals, then you better be quick if you want one.

Aldi said in its product description: “You’ll be as cool as a cucumber when you add this Kirkton House Retro Pedestal Fan to your home.

“With three speeds to choose from and oscillation adjustment, this fan will add its own cool retro vibes to your home, as well as providing you with a cool breeze that is sure to keep everyone happy.

“This versatile fan is also height adjustable from approximately 90 to 124cm, meaning its perfect for use in any room you see fit.”

The fan comes in chrome or copper and has a guarantee/warranty for 36 months. Aldi offers free delivery on orders over £30 so this applies to the fan.

You can find the Aldi Retro Pedestal Fan on the retailer’s website here.

Fans are proving popular generally in the heatwave and there are plenty of other choices if the Aldi version isn’t for you.

When we looked, Amazon had pedestal fans priced from just £18.65 – check out all the options at Amazon here

Alternatively, shop for fans at Argos – we saw a floor fan on the website for just £16.49.

Or add one to your Tesco grocery shopping order. On the Tesco website we found a £14 tower desk fan and also a Chilllmax air cooler priced at £39.99.
