With sunny, warm weather forecast for this weekend, it looks like the ideal time to enjoy a walk with the family.
There’s so many beautiful places you could head to in the county, including many parks and nature reserves.
And after a nice long walk, you may well want to treat yourself to an ice cream, or perhaps a coffee and cake.
It’s great news, then, that a number of Leicestershire parks are home to cafes and coffee stops.

Beacon Hill Cafe, Beacon Hill Country Park, Woodhouse Eaves
Beacon Hill Cafe, which launched last summer, is providing food and drink for takeaway or dine-in.
It is open 9.30am until 3.30pm Wednesday to Sunday.
Deer Barn Tearoom and Conservatory Tearoom, Bradgate Park, Newtown Linford
The two tearooms at Bradgate Park are currently offering a reduced range of pre-packed food and drinks.
The Deer Barn Tearoom, at the heart of the park, and the Conservatory Tearoom, off the Newtown Linford car park, are both open 10am until 4pm at weekends and 11am until 3pm Monday to Friday.
Acorns Coffee Shop, Burbage Common
You can enjoy a homemade treat and a drink at Acorns between 9.30am and 4.30pm at the weekend, and between 10am until 4pm during the week.
There is a takeaway service and outdoor seating available.
Mason’s Il Cappo Del Caffe, Fosse Meadows Country Park, Sharnford
This newly-opened coffee van is open daily from 9am until 6pm, serving Italian coffee, thickshakes, cakes and more.
The Cafe at Welland Park, Welland Park, Market Harborough
Why not treat yourself to a drink and a cake from this Market Harborough park cafe?
It is open 9am until 4pm Tuesday to Sunday, and is currently open 11am until 4pm on a Monday during the school summer holidays.
Peppercorns at The Pavilion, Abbey Park, Leicester
Peppercorns is open every day from 10am until 4pm, weather permitting.
It is currently operating as a takeaway.
Humberstone Park Cafe, Humberstone Park, Leicester
Humberstone Park Cafe is open Saturday 10am until 1pm and Sunday, serving Sunday roasts from 12pm until 1.30pm. It’s also open Tuesday to Friday 9.30am until 1.30pm.
There is indoor and outdoor seating availlable.
Queen’s Park Cafe, Queen’s Park, Loughborough
You can pay a visit to Queen’s Park Cafe between 10am and 4pm on Sunday, and between 9.30am and 3.30/4pm Monday to Saturday.
There is indoor and outdoor seating, and a takeaway service is available for both drinks and food.
The Pavilion Tea Room, Wilton Park, Melton Mowbray
You could treat yourself with a visit to The Pavilion Tea Room at this Melton park.
The tea room is open 10am until 4pm, seven days a week.
