Coventry City midfielder Zain Westbrooke is close to joining Bristol Rovers.
The 23-year-old, who helped the Sky Blues to win promotion to the Championship this season, is on the verge of agreeing a three-year contract with Rovers, BristolLive is reporting.
Westbrooke made 25 appearances as Coventry won League One.
Westbrooke is understood to have been in Bristol on Friday to hold discussions and his move could be announced within the next 24 hours.
Westbrooke started his career at Brentford and had loan spells with Solihull Moors and Leyton Orient before he joined Coventry two years ago. He has scored four goals in 40 games for City.
He played against Rovers three times in the season just completed, twice in the League and once in the FA Cup.
It is just over a month since Westbrooke was included on Coventry’s retained list as having agreed a one-year extension.
