Jordan Shipley says signing a new contract with Coventry City is a “great honour” for him.
The 22-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a deal until 2022.
Shipley played a key part in the 2019/20 title-winning campaign for Mark Robins’ side, scoring seven goals in 42 appearances before the season was curtailed in March.
He told the club’s website : “I feel great, it’s a great achievement for me again and now I’m looking to kick on again next season.
“This club means a lot to me and everyone’s heard the story, I’ve been here since I was seven years old and I’ve come through the ranks and finally broke into the first team and now I’m established in that team and to be offered another deal, it’s a great honour for me.
“Growing up here, I know what it means to the fans to get back into the Championship and now we’re here, hopefully we can kick on and establish ourselves and then try and push on to bigger and better things.”
