Cheltenham Town have launched their new home kit, which will be used for the next two seasons.

The club launched the new shirt one their website with a video entitled Cheltenham united , narrated  by the club’s chaplain, Reverend Malcolm Allen, and set to a new soundtrack created for this project by Nigel Groom,  a music producer and Cheltenham Town fan based in Los Angeles.

Broadcaster and former EastEnders star Tom Watt supplied the words to tell the lockdown tale.

In the film itself first team players Reuben Reid, Conor Thomas, Charlie Raglan and George Lloyd were joined by Sammy Hallsworth and Abby Bevan from the Ladies team.

It also featured a range of local business people to represent the community.

They were Andy, Steve and Zak at  Andy’s & Co Barbers, Rebecca, Aaron and Kim from  Sudeley Castle & Gardens, Gina from  Sandford Parks Lido, Sarah, Sarah and Harley at  Havanas Coffee Shop, Natalie at  The Plough Inn, Liv at  Jelly Armchair, Felix and Cicely from  Sibling Distillery, Richard and Roland at  Battledown Brewery and Katie at  The Everyman Theatre.

A club statement said: “We want to use this moment to show solidarity with the local business community during the pandemic.

“We hope our new shirt will represent the spirit of our town. How we can all work together to bounce back.

“So support our shops, pubs, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, theatres, attractions, hairdressers, pools and sports centres.

“They all need us right now, and that’s why they’re part of this.”

The video can be seen at www.ctfc.com

The shirt is available to buy from https://shop.ctfc.com/ at £40 for an adult shirt and £30 for junior sizes.
