The emergency services were called at round 2.40pm today after reports that a woman was in the river.
Emergency services including the police, ambulance and fire crews attended the scene in College Street.
A life belt was thrown to the woman in the water which was used to bring her back to safety.
A boat crew and rescue pump were used from Worcester station.
Another two boats were also called from Evesham and Pershore.
She was left in care of the ambulance.
LPPT South – West Mercia Police put out a Tweet today which says: “Hot and busy in South Worcestershire today.
“1) Supported @SWorcsCops with a high risk missing person, found by the team during open area search.
“2) Supported @SWorcsCops with great response to an incident by the river in Worcester, along with @OFFICIALWMAS & @HWFire.
“Jobs 3 & 4 came after some pro-active patrol in Malvern. A vehicle seized due to no licence or insurance after a stop.
“Followed by locating a suspect for serious offences.
“Arrested & the team will be working into the evening to progress the investigation with #AllInADaysWork.”
