Drayton Manor has announced that it will reopen on the day when lockdown restrictions are lifted for a wide range of businesses across the country.
The family theme park will welcome back visitors on July 4, with a long list of measures in place to guard against the spread of coronavirus.
It is part of a phased reopening, with only Thomas Land, the Zoo and selected family rides being available at first. The wider park will then reopen from Saturday, July 18 until Sunday, October 31.
Rides including Maelstrom, Air Race and Shockwave will be available from this second phase – though others are closed until further notice.
Booking is only available via its website and a limited amount of tickets will be available each day to ensure adequate social distancing.
The two-metre social distancing rule will be relaxed on July 4, meaning thousands of businesses will be allowed to reopen in England.
Hairdressers, hotels, campsites and caravan parks will be allowed to operate again from then – provided safety measures are in place – alongside art galleries, museums, outdoor playgrounds and gyms.
