Coventry City players, staff and supporters will today celebrate their promotion in a way never seen before.
Fans will huddle around their TVs, laptops and smartphones to watch the Sky Blues’ promotion party unfold live with the help of more than one or two special guests.
Not only will Mark Robins and his players be coming along for the ride with us, but so too will the likes of DJ Paul Morrell (no relation to Andy) and Free Radio’s John “JD” Dalziel.
But yesterday the players, still in lockdown, got to enjoy their own personal little celebration as their promotion packages arrived at their homes.
Each member of the playing staff and managerial team received their golden SkyBet League One winners medals, sent by the EFL, complete with a ‘Champions 2019/20’ flag and a commemorative bottle of champagne.
They were also sent a special case of Louis Roederer bubbly complete with two glasses and a bouquet of sky blue flowers by the club.
And finally, to top of the promotion hamper, players received six cans of Dhillon’s Brewery beer – the same brewery who produced the club’s very own Sky Blue Army lager and will soon roll out a promotion special.
