Female pedestrian badly hurt
A female pedestrian has been left with ‘potentially serious’ injuries following the collision with a car on Castle Vale High Street.
The incident took place shortly after midday today (Tues, June 16) and has seen buses diverted away from the street.
An ambulance attended the scene to treat the woman before she was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:
We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian at 12.11pm.
We sent one ambulance to the scene. We have treated one patient, a woman, who is the pedestrian.
Patient suffered potentially serious injuries but not believed to be life-threatening.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
