Since lockdown began, I have been sorting out my bedroom. I started by painting a wall, taking down some shelves, putting new shelves up and adding some new furniture. One of the main things that needed changing up was what was on my walls.I was gifted a poster and canvas print from Photowall to add a personal touch to my bedroom. Some of the pictures and artwork had been up for years and just didn’t fit my personality anymore, so getting some new pieces was ideal!

Photowall
Photowall, based in Sweden stock an amazing selection of wallpapers, wall hangings, murals and canvas prints. If you are looking to transform a room, then they’re a great place to go to. I was spoilt for choice by all of the gorgeous designs – there are hundreds to pick from or you can upload your own photos. After a lot of consideration, I decided to upload my own photos. It took me a while to narrow it down to the two that I eventually chose. When you’re going to get something printed in a big format, you never know how they’re going to turn out. A lot of my photos are taken on my iPhone, so I do always worry about quality.
Ordering from Photowall and delivery to the UK
Ordering my items was really easy. You simply select the products you want, upload the photos you want to use and choose a size. I went for two photos that were taken on my iPhone and I uploaded them to make sure they looked okay. Once I had chosen my products and checked out, I received a confirmation email (Saturday). Three days later (Tuesday) I received an email telling me my order had been dispatched and then on the Wednesday they arrived.
The items came really well packaged with everything that I needed to assemble them, including instructions.

Poster
The first product that I chose was this poster featuring my cat, Bertie. I didn’t have any photos of him in my room which is shocking as we’ve had him for almost four years! I just adore this photo of him sitting in the conservatory enjoying the sun. This photo was actually taken on my iPhone so I was worried how it would turn out when printed. I needn’t have worried though, it looks perfect!
The poster comes with everything you need to hang it. There’s two wooden slats for the top and the bottom, a piece of string which you cut to the size that you need and then a hook and nail. I found that it was pretty easy to put it all together – it was on my wall within 10 minutes of opening the packaging!
The size that I went for was 60cm x 80cm which is perfect for the wall space above my bed. I’d had a few prints up there for years and it was time for a change.

Canvas print
For the canvas print I went for one of my favourite photos that I took on my trip to Venice back in March. I didn’t think that we would go on a gondola ride as they are so expensive, however we managed to get a bargain at sunset on our last day and it was beautiful. Having this printed on a canvas is the perfect way to remember our trip.
The canvas came rolled up with the wooden frame in four parts, plus the hardware to hang it up. It took a bit longer to assembles this as it’s a bit tricker. However, it was quite simple and had it have been smaller it would have taken a lot less time.
The quality of the print is absolutely amazing for the size. Considering this is also an iPhone photo, it looks so sharp and the colours are fantastic. I am honestly so proud that I took this photo!
I went for the size 100cm x 130cm and I did plan on having this on my green feature wall. However I didn’t measure the space properly after I painted and forgot that I was putting shelves up. Unfortunately, the canvas doesn’t fit on my wall so we are going to put it in the dining room once that has been redecorated.
